West Coast Conference Announces 2025 Men's Tennis All-Conference Awards

San Diego swept the major awards

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - After winning the outright West Coast Conference Regular Season Championship, San Diego swept the 2025 West Coast Conference Men's Tennis major awards as the annual awards and all-conference teams were announced on Tuesday by the Conference. Ryan Keckley won Coach of the Year, while Oliver Tarvet won Player of the Year and Adrien Berrut won Freshman of the Year.

Each of the all-conference team and individual honors are voted on solely by the head coaches of each West Coast Conference men’s tennis team.

Nationally third-ranked in the nation, Tarvet led the way for San Diego to claim the outright conference title. Tarvet went 22-2 in singles matches this season and 20-4 in doubles with his partner Stian Klaassen, the No. 4 ranked doubles tandem in the country, according to the ITA rankings. Tarvet became the first Torero to repeat as Player of the Year since former USD standout August Holmgren in 2021 and 2022.

Since March 21, Berrut has won six of his last eight singles matches, and one of the matches he didn't win was because it went unfinished. He earned a key three-set victory during USD's win over No. 28 Pepperdine last week. Three of the last four West Coast Conference Freshmen of the Year have been Toreros, and the other two are currently on the team - Tarvet and Iiro Vasa.

Keckley guided San Diego to the one seed in the WCC Tournament after closing out the regular season on an eight-match winning streak, including a perfect record in conference matches. At 22-3 overall, Keckley's seventh-ranked Toreros picked up multiple ranked wins over No. 7 Duke, No. 10 Florida State, No. 10 Harvard, No. 12 Oklahoma, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 20 UCLA, No. 21 UCF and No. 21 USC. This is Keckley's fifth West Coast Conference Coach of the Year award, and his third in the last four years.

USD also led the way in first-team selections in singles with three - Tarvet, Klaassen and Savriyan Danilov. Pepperdine earned two spots - Edward Winter and Maxi Homberg, while Pacific's Tiago Silva also made the first team. In doubles, Tarvet and Klaassen made the all-conference first team along with Pepperdine's Winter brothers - Edward and Hugh - and LMU garnered a tandem on the first team in Youssef Sadek and Sebastian Nothhaft.

Tarvet and Winter boasted all-conference first-team honors for the second straight year. It also marked the third straight year that Tarvet picked up first-team recognition in singles.
