Men's Tennis 2026 Season Featured Three NCAA Tournament Teams

Pepperdine and San Diego advanced to the Super Regional

For only the third time in West Coast Conference history, three men's tennis teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2026. 

NCAA Tournament regulars San Diego and Pepperdine both competed in the NCAA Tournament once again with San Diego winning the tournament championship after a narrow 4-3 epic win over Pepperdine in the conference championship match. For the third time in program history, Santa Clara earned an at-large bid into the national field, as well. All three teams shared the conference regular season title. 

Niall Angus of Santa Clara won West Coast Conference Coach of the Year after guiding his Broncos to new heights in 2026. In addition to being a three-bid league, both the Toreros and Waves reached the Super Regional, marking the first time in 13 seasons that Pepperdine accomplished that feat. 

One of hte nation's best, Oliver Tarvet of San Diego won West Coast Conference Player of the Year and was tabbed an ITA All-American. This after Tarvet competed in Wimbledon last offseason. 

In the final ITA rankings, San Diego came in at No. 17, followed by No. 21 Pepperdine and No. 38 Santa Clara. Tarvet checked in at No. 15 in singles.
