Oregon State Holds Three-Stroke Lead Heading Into The Final Round Of The Women’s Golf Championship

Oregon State's Raya Nakao holds a two-shot lead over San Francisco's Eva Pett through 36 holes

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Oregon State leads by three strokes over Pepperdine heading into the final round of the 2025 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championship. Both the Beavers and the Waves were 2-over for Friday’s second round at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, California. OSU is even at 576 (286-290) for the tournament, while Pepperdine is 3-over for the tournament at 579 (289-290).
 
Santa Clara is in third at 11-over 587 (286-301) entering the final round.   
 
First-round leader Raya Nakao of Oregon State holds a two-stroke lead entering Saturday’s final round. She was 2-over for the day and is at 4-under 140 (66-74) for the tournament. Nakao, who had eight birdies in Thursday’s opening round, birdied four of the first seven holes in Friday’s second round. She moved to 3-under for the round and 9-under for the tournament after 12 holes, before finishing 2-over for the round.   
 
San Francisco's Eva Pett vaulted into second place with back-to-back rounds of 71 (142) to close within two strokes of Nakao. One of two golfers to record rounds under par on Friday, Pett finished 1-under in the round and is 2-under 142 (71-71) for the tournament. Jeneath Wong of Pepperdine is three shots back of Nakao in third place with a 143 (69-74) after finishing 2-over in Friday’s round.
 
The low round of the day belonged to Oregon State’s Rebecca Kim, with a 2-under 70. She is 7-over 151 (81-70) for the tournament.  Teammate Kyra Ly was even for the day and is tied for fifth with a 1-over 145 (73-72) for the tournament.
 
Three Pepperdine golfers – Grace Anderson, Eunseo Choi and Lauren Gomez – all were even for the round. Anderson is tied for fifth for the tournament.
 
Santa Clara’s Chloe Lam is in fourth place with an even-par 144 (71-73) and San Francisco’s Rianna Mission is tied for fifth at 1-over 145 (71-74) for the tournament.
