SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga stands in first place in the West Coast Conference Baseball standings at 10-2 in conference games, but San Diego is riding a nine-game winning streak in second place at 9-3. These teams will square off this weekend in Spokane.
LMU and Portland are tied for third place at 9-6. Saint Mary's is also currently enjoying a five-game winning streak.
This Week
Four Conference series are on the slate once again this weekend.
Two Bay Area series will feature San Francisco hosting Pepperdine and Santa Clara hosting Pacific.
Portland is idle this week.
Last Week
Saint Mary's stayed hot, picking up a road sweep at Pepperdine.
LMU took two out of three over Santa Clara with the series finale a 12-11 victory for the Lions.
San Diego swept Portland at home, knocking the Pilots down the standings and putting the Toreros in position to claim first place if they can beat the Bulldogs this weekend.
Pacific won the series over USF, taking two out of three.
Gonzaga battled USC in non-conference action, picking up one win over the Trojans.

USD's Logan Reddemann leads the league and ranks seventh in the nation in earned run average at 1.86. He's holding opposing batters to a batting average of .202, first in the West Coast Conference.
Max Bayles continues to collect strikeouts for Santa Clara. He ranks fourth in the nation in strikeouts per game (14.67) and tied for 14th in strikeouts overall with 76, a leage best.
