No. 1 San Diego Sweeps No. 4 Pacific, 5-0

The Toreros advance to Saturday's championship match

SAN DIEGO - No 1. seed San Diego breezed past No. 4 Pacific in the semifinals of the West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament at the Aztec Tennis Complex on the San Diego State campus. 

The nationally third-ranked Toreros advance to the championship match on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The final score was 5-0 as Oliver Tarvet and Stian Klaassen won simultaneously on courts one and three, Tarvet by the score of 6-2, 6-1 and Klaassen by the score of 7-5, 6-0. 

Prior to the duplicate match-clinching victories, Adrien Berrut won in straight sets on court four, 6-2, 6-3 and Savriyan Danilov picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory on court two. 

The doubles point went to the Toreros with the fourth-ranked doubles team of Tarvet and Klaassen clinching on the top court, 6-3. Danilov and Berrut notched the first doubles win of the day on court two, 6-2.
