SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Earning a couple of victories over top-25 opponents led to Lasse Poertner from Pepperdine winning West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week. The Winter brothers, Edward and Hugh, claimed West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week while Ferran Redza of Santa Clara won West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week.    
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LASSE POERTNER, SO. – PEPPERDINE
Lasse Poertner earned a pair of wins on the third court against No. 17 Arizona and No. 24 Arizona State last week. His efforts helped the Waves sweep the Sun Devils.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – EDWARD WINTER, JR., HUGH WINTER, SO., PEPPERDINE
The Winter brothers collected two wins in their first two matches playing together this season against No. 17 Arizona and No. 24 Arizona State. The Waves now own two conference weekly awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – FERRAN REDZA, FR. – SANTA CLARA
Ferran Redza came through with the clinching victory over Oregon in his collegiate singles debut last week. Inserted into the singles lineup on court 6 after Santa Clara lost the doubles point, Santa Clara trailed 3-1 in the match but came back to tie it at three, setting up the stage for Redza. He came through with a 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-2) victory over Cameron Burton to complete the 4-3 comeback victory. This is Santa Clara's second conference weekly award this season.
