West Coast Conference Announces 2025-26 Men's Basketball All-Conference Awards

Santa Clara wins three major awards

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara won three of the major awards in the 2025-26 West Coast Conference men's basketball all-conference honors, as the Conference announced its all-conference teams and major award winners on Tuesday. The Broncos featured a two-time winner as Allen Graves won both Freshman of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year. Graves' head coach Herb Sendek won Coach of the Year. The West Coast Conference scoring champion Grahan Ike won Player of the Year while Will Heimbrodt from Seattle U won Defensive Player of the Year and David Fuchs from San Francisco won Newcomer of the Year.

All six major awards – along with the all-conference teams and the all-freshman team – were voted on solely by the league’s 12 head coaches.

In his 10th season guiding the Broncos, Sendek earned his first West Coast Conference Coach of the Year accolade. Sendek guided Santa Clara to a 24-7 overall record, tying for the third most wins in a season in program history. The 15 wins in conference play set a program record. The Broncos have won seven combined Quad 1 and 2 games this season, including a victory over Co-West Coast Conference regular season champion Saint Mary's. In conference games, Santa Clara ranks No. 5 in scoring offense (87.2 ppg). Sendek will lead his Broncos into the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Championship as the No. 3 seed. The last time a Santa Clara coach won Coach of the Year was Dick Davey in 2007.

A national honors candidate, Ike paced the conference in scoring in overall games (19.7) and in conference games (21.9). His 13 double-doubles lead the West Coast Conference and rank tied for 17th in the nation. Ike scored 30 points three times this season, including scoring 35 of his team's 81 points in a victory at Oregon State. One of the nation's best, Ike is first in the nation among active scorers in DI with 2,492 points. His 1,118 rebounds also ranks second among active players. He is the only active player with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Ike won West Coast Conference Player of the Week five times this season and he was tabbed a USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week twice. The last time a Bulldog won West Coast Conference Player of the Year was Drew Timme in 2023.

Graves is third on Santa Clara in scoring (11.5) and first in steals (62), which also ranks third in the conference. Graves won West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week six times, including a stretch of winning at least a share of the award in four of the last five weeks of the regular season. Graves appeared in every game this season, making only four starts as a valuable contributor off the bench. He has reached double figures in scoring in five of the last six games, including a 30-point performance during Santa Clara's Feb. 7 win at Washington State.

Fuchs finished fourth in the league in rebounding (7.3 rpg) and collected seven double-doubles, third best in the league. A native of Vienna, Austria and transfer from Rhode Island, Fuchs most recently posted 29 points in the regular season finale victory at Pacific. His most-recent double-double came on Feb. 15 at San Diego (21 points, 13 rebounds). The last time a Don won Newcomer of the Year was Jonathan Mogbo in 2024.

One the nation's best shot blockers, Heimbrodt ranks No. 6 nationally in blocked shots (2.53). His 2.4 average in conference games led the league, as well. He secured multiple blocks in each of his last five games, including five at Pepperdine on Feb. 25. Heimbrodt contributed offensively, as well, posting double figures in scoring in his last six games, including 24 points in the win over the Waves.

Ike garnered all-conference honors for the third straight year while Paulius Murauskas from Saint Mary's was tabbed with the recognition for the second straight year.

Saint Mary's and Santa Clara led the way with three first-team all-conference selections each, while Gonzaga, Oregon State, Pacific and Portland each garnered one honoree. Four of the first-team honorees were previously selected to the 2025-26 conference preseason team, as well - Ike, Murauskas, Mikey Lewis (Saint Mary's) and Elias Ralph (Pacific).
