SAN BRUNO, Calif. –  Now ranked No. 2 this week in the latest ITA team rankings, Pepperdine swept this week's West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week awards. Živa Falkner won Singles Player of the Week, while Duru Soke and Shihomi Leong won Doubles Team of the Week for the second time this season and Sonja Zhiyenbayeva won Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season. 
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ŽIVA FALKNER, SR. – PEPPERDINE
Živa Falkner earned a victory over the 11th-ranked singles player in the country during Pepperdine's win over No. 15 California. Her match was abandoned against the No. 4-ranked player in the country while up a set vs. Ohio State. The Waves went on to beat then-second ranked Ohio State. This is Falkner's second conference singles player of the week award this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – DURU SOKE, SO., SHIHOMI LEONG, FR PEPPERDINE
The Waves duo clinched both doubles points this week against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 15 Cal. This is the pair's second conference weekly award this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – SONJA ZHIYENBAYEVA, FR. – PEPPERDINE
Sonja Zhiyenbayeva defeated the third-ranked singles player in the country against Ohio State. Her match against the 57th-ranked player of California was abandoned. She and her doubles partner also defeated the 17th-ranked doubles pair in the country against the Buckeyes. Pepperdine now owns 15 conference weekly awards this season.
