Saint Mary's Secures Two Softball Player Of The Week Awards

Vasquez once again wins conference pitcher of the week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the second time in the last three weeks, Odhi Vasquez from Saint Mary's won West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. Two batters who produced big weeks led to co-player of the week accolades as Leiora Davidson from Santa Clara and Hannah Ferguson from Saint Mary's were each named Co-Players of the Week.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LEIORA DAVIDSON, SR., INF – SANTA CLARA
Leiora Davidson went 5-for-11 in four games with a pair of home runs and six RBI last week. Against LMU, Davidson helped the Broncos win the series, collecting two hits in the series opener during Friday's 5-2 win. On Saturday, she boasted a career day going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and six RBI in SCU's 10-9 win. Davidson also slugged a solo homer in the fourth, garnered a two-run single in the fifth and blasted a three-run roundtripper in the sixth to set career highs in both home runs and RBI. This is Davidson's first conference weekly award this season and the third overall conference weekly award for Santa Clara this season.
