SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Slugging her way to help Seattle U sweep Montana, Seattle U's Avari Morris was named West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week. Santa Clara garnered its second conference weekly award of 2026 as Ellison Schroeder won West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AVARI MORRIS, JR. – SEATTLE U
Avari Morris belted her second home run of the season to lift Seattle U to its first win over Montana on Friday before garnering her second triple of the season in the comeback victory over Montana in game two doubleheader to secure series sweep. The Redhawks now own two conference weekly awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK – ELLISON SCHROEDER, FR. – SANTA CLARA
Ellison Schroeder picked up two wins this weekend, tossing a seven-inning complete game against San Jose State and a victory in relief against Fresno State. Against SJSU on Saturday, she gave up just four hits, one run, walked two and struck out seven in the Broncos 4-1 triumph. On Sunday, Schroeder came in relief in the fifth with the game tied at one and allowed one hit in 2 2/3 innings as SCU drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth to get the 2-1 victory. In total, she tossed 9 2/3 innings, scattering five hits, one run, two walks and five punchouts on the week. This is the second straight week Santa Clara has picked up pitcher of the week conference honors.
