Broncos Handle Pacific, Move On To Semifinals

Santa Clara will face Saint Mary's on Monday

LAS VEGAS - No. 3 Santa Clara took care of business against No. 6 Pacific, picking up a decisive 76-68 victory in the quarterfinals of the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Championship from Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. 

The Broncos advance to play No. 2 Saint Mary's on Monday at 8:30 p.m.

Santa Clara set a program conference-tournament record with 15 three-pointers, four shy of the conference tournament record. Three Broncos hit a trio of treys including Elijah Mahi and Allen Graves. Mahi notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Graves led the Broncos with 19 points. 

Pacific was once again led by Elias Ralph who scored a game-high 25 points, connecting on 10 of 18 shots. Ralph was also 5-for-9 from behind the arc. 

The Gaels and Broncos split the regular season series with the home team winning both times.
