SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Earning two wins over No. 14 Washington and a victory over No. 24 Stanford led Saint Mary's to sweep this week's West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week awards. Odhi Vasquez won West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week and the third time in the last four weeks. Her teammate Sam Buckley won West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.  

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SAM BUCKLEY, JR., INF – SAINT MARY'S
Sam Buckley led the Gaels in their 11-inning win over Washington with a pair of home runs, accounting for all three RBI against the Huskies. Buckley also provided the go-ahead triple in the first game against the Huskies, and the go-ahead RBI double in the Gaels win over Stanford. This is Buckley's second time winning conference player of the week.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK – ODHI VASQUEZ, SR. – SAINT MARY'S
Odhi Vasquez pitched for the Gaels during all three of their ranked wins last week, going 15 innings and surrendering just two runs on six hits with 17 strikeouts. She tied the program record in wins with her 46th win against Stanford, becoming the second ever Gael to strike out 400 batters in her career. Vasquez has now won conference pitcher of the week three times this season.
