FAIRFIELD, Calif. – The 2026 West Coast Conference Men’s Golf Championship returns to Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. The championship will be contested Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3 on the par-72 6,621 yard course. The three-day championship includes three rounds of stroke play, with four teams advancing to match play.
The 12-team field will begin play Friday at 7:30 a.m. with two rounds of stroke play, with Saturday set for a third round of stroke play. Following the first three rounds of stroke play, the West Coast Conference will crown an individual champion. The field will be cut to four teams that will advance to match play. The semifinals of match play will be Sunday morning, with the two advancing teams meeting in the match play finals Sunday afternoon.
Two West Coast Conference programs are in the top 50 and eight out of 12 are in the top 90 of the latest SCOREBOARD national rankings. Pepperdine leads the way at No. 15, followed by San Diego at No. 44 and Oregon State at No. 60. Washington State (No. 63), Saint Mary’s (No. 64), LMU (No. 75), Pacific (No. 76) and Santa Clara (No. 90) round out the rest of the leagues’ top-ranked programs.
Pepperdine garnered two top five performances this spring, including a tournament win at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif. to start the spring season. Last year’s conference individual title winner Mahanth Chirravuri looks to defend his title as the top-ranked golfer in the West Coast Conference at No. 6. The Waves also have two other student-athletes ranked individually in the top 40, with Willy Walsh at No. 34 and Brady Siravo at No. 39.
San Diego owns three top five finishes this spring, capturing a first-place result at the R.E. Lamkin Invitational. The Toreros’ Ian Maspat ranks No. 98 nationally.
Oregon State collected a tournament title earlier this season at the Brandon Dunes Collegiate in Brandon, Ore. The Beavers hold the third-ranked student-athlete in the league, with freshman Nguyen Anh Minh ranked No. 35 in the nation. Anh Minh earned an individual title at Brandon Dunes.
The West Coast Conference boasts seven student-athletes within the top 125 in the individual rankings – Pepperdine’s Mahanth Chirravuri No. 6, Willy Walsh No. 34, Oregon State’s Nguyen Anh Minh No. 35, Pepperdine’s Brady Siravo No. 39, San Diego’s Ian Maspat No. 98, LMU’s Trevor Algya No. 119 and Washington State’s Sam Renner No. 124.
Pepperdine has captured the West Coast Conference Championship 23 times, including earning the title last season at the Green Valley Country Club. San Francisco has the second-most conference titles with 11.
