Four Teams Selected To NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals

Pepperdine, San Diego, Saint Mary’s and Oregon State, along with individuals from LMU and Washington State, earn NCAA selections

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the fourth time in the last five years, four West Coast Conference men’s golf teams were selected to the NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals. Six conference teams overall will be represented in the regionals, as Pepperdine, San Diego, Saint Mary’s and Oregon State were selected as a team and LMU’s Trevor Algya, and Washington State’s Dylan Boenning and Sam Renner were selected as individuals.  
 
The West Coast Conference has had multiple teams selected to the NCAA Regionals in each of the last 11 events.
 
West Coast Conference Champion Pepperdine earned its 29th NCAA Regional selection. The Waves are No. 15 in the latest SCOREBOARD rankings after defeating both Augusta and Oregon State in match play to secure the conference title this past weekend. Pepperdine is led by West Coast Conference Player of the Year Mahanth Chirravuri, who ranks No. 11 in the SCOREBOARD rankings.
 
Pepperdine is the No. 3 seed in the Winston-Salem Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club. The Waves are joined in the regional by Virginia, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, USC, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Little Rock, NC State, Kentucky, Houston, Richmond, Navy and Presbyterian.
 
San Diego earned an NCAA Regional bid for the sixth consecutive season. The Toreros are the No. 7 seed in the Corvallis Regional at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
 
USD is 42 in the latest SCOREBOARD rankings. The Toreros earned the No. 1 seed in the West Coast Conference Championship match play after taking the top spot through stroke play at the conference championship. Ian Maspat is the 2026 West Coast Conference individual champion.
 
Oregon State is the No. 10 seed in the Corvallis Regional. OSU finished second in the West Coast Conference Championship, falling to Pepperdine in the match play finals. The Beavers were the No. 4 seed going into match play after finishing fourth in stroke play. OSU is led by Nguyen Anh Minh, who was voted the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year. He finished second in stroke play at the West Coast Conference Championship with a 12-under at Green Valley Country Club. The Beavers, No. 60 in the SCOREBOARD rankings, are making their 20th appearance in the NCAA Regionals and first since 2023.
 
San Diego and Oregon State are joined in the Corvallis regional by Arkansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Charlotte, UCLA, Notre Dame, Purdue, Georgia Southern, Oregon State, Liberty, Xavier and Sacramento State.  
 
Saint Mary’s is the No. 11 seed in the Tucson Regional at Gallery Golf Club. The Gaels are No. 67 in the latest SCOREBOARD rankings. They have five top-five finishes in tournaments this spring. The Gaels are making their first appearance in the NCAA Regionals since 2019.  
 
Saint Mary’s is joined in the Tucson regional by Oklahoma State, LSU, Arizona, Alabama, Duke, Clemson, San Diego State, Arkansas State, West Virginia, Florida Gulf Coast, Tarleton State, North Dakota State and Iona.
 
Boenning and Renner will compete in the Corvallis Regional. Algya will compete in the Tucson Regional. Renner was selected to compete as an individual for the second consecutive year.  
 
There is a total of six NCAA Regional sites, with each one hosting a 54-hole tournament May 18-20. Three of the sites will feature 13 teams and 10 individuals not from those teams and three regionals will feature 14 teams and five individuals not from those teams. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship.  
 
Last season, four West Coast Conference teams – Pepperdine, San Diego, Santa Clara and Pacific –
earned NCAA Regional selections. The Waves and Toreros advanced to the NCAA Championship, as Pepperdine finished 12th and San Diego finished 30th.
