Pepperdine's Willy Walsh To Compete In Arnold Palmer Cup

Upcoming Waves senior will be part of team USA

After finishing 10th individually in the NCAA Division I National Championship in June, Pepperdine's Willy Walsh has been selected to compete for Team USA at the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup.

The Arnold Palmer Cup, hosted this year at Tralee Golf Links in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland from July 3-5, is an international collegiate event where some of the best student-athletes compete for either Team USA or Team International. Starting in 1997 at Arnold Palmer's own Bay Hill Club in Orlando, Fla., Team USA currently leads 15-13-1.

In addition to a top-10 finish in Carlsbad for the NCAA Championship, Walsh earned a 10th-place finish at the Winston-Salem Regional to help the Waves earn their first regional title in program history. He was also a key part in Pepperdine earning its second straight West Coast Conference championship and the 24th in program history. Walsh earned six top-10 finishes during the 2025-26 season, including an individual medal at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational last fall.

Walsh also garnered an honorable mention spot on the Golfweek All-America Team. He has been named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team three straight years (2024-26) and is ranked No. 31 on the latest SCOREBOARD rankings.

The 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup will be streamed exclusively on the Golf Channel. For more information, please head to the Arnold Palmer Cup website.
