WCC Announces 2018-19 Women’s Golf All-Academic Team

BYU’s Rose Huang secures second straight WCC All-Academic selection

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2018-19 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf All-Academic Team. This year’s team features six newcomers to the seven-person first team.

BYU senior Rose Huang, a four-time All-WCC First Team selection is the lone student-athlete to make multiple appearances on the academic team since making her debut last season. Santa Clara’s Marni Murez (Neuroscience) posted the highest GPA turned in by a women’s golf student-athlete in 2018-19 with an unblemished 4.0 GPA. Four honorees posted a GPA of 3.50 or better.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
