FAIRFIELD, Calif. – No. 10 Pepperdine captured the 2026 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championship with a 1-over 865 (286-291-288) for the three-round event held at the par-72 6,174-yard Green Valley Country Club. Sophomore Eunseo Choi carded a conference-record 9-under 207 (71-68-68) to win conference medalist honors.
It’s the Waves’ fourth West Coast Conference team title in the last five years and their 23rd conference championship overall. Monday marked Choi’s third career individual title and fourth top-10 finish in the spring. Choi has finished in the top 10 in each of her first two years at the West Coast Conference Championship.
Pepperdine won by 14 strokes over second-place Oregon State, who was 15-over with a score of 879 (290-300-289). Santa Clara finished third with a 22-over score of 886 (297-295-294).
The Waves were even for the day, led by Choi’s round-low 4-under 68. She had seven birdies in Monday’s final round and finished with 15 for the championship. Choi, who ranks 32nd in the SCOREBOARD rankings, shot under par for all three rounds with a 1-under 71 Saturday and back-to-back scores of 4-under Sunday and Monday. Her three-round score of 9-under 207 was two shots better than the previous conference record of 7-under 209 recorded by former Pepperdine golfer Kaleiya Romero during the 2023 championship at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington.
Gonzaga’s Grace Lee 215 (72-74-69) and Oregon State’s Raya Nakao 215 (68-74-73), who was the medalist at the 2025 conference championship, tied for second place with a 1-under for the championship. Santa Clara’s Alexa Pineda finished fourth with an even-par 216 (75-71-70). Pepperdine’s Kylee Choi, who ranks 19th in the SCOREBOARD rankings, rounded out the top five with a 1-over 217 (70-74-73).
The highlight of Monday’s round was Gonzaga’s Esther Yoo, who recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3 135-yard 17th hole.
Pepperdine has earned the West Coast Conference’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Regionals. The NCAA Women’s Golf selection show will be Wednesday, April 29, at 1:00 p.m. PT on the Golf Channel. The teams and individuals who will compete at the six regional sites will be unveiled. NCAA Regionals begin May 11.
