WCC Announces 2018-19 Men’s Golf All-Academic Team

Four student-athletes secure second straight WCC All-Academic selection

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2018-19 West Coast Conference Men’s Golf All-Academic Team. This year’s team features six newcomers to the 10-member first team.

Pacific’s Beau Forest (Computer Science) posted the highest GPA turned in by a men’s golf student-athlete in 2018-19 with an unblemished 4.0 GPA. All told, four student-athletes earned a spot on the first team for the second straight season: Forest, Saint Mary’s Blake Hathcoat, Gonzaga’s Tyler Munetake and San Francisco’s Tim Widing. Nine honorees on the first team or honorable mention list posted a GPA of 3.50 or better.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
