WCC Announces 2019-20 Men’s Golf All-Academic Team

Three Student-Athletes make their third and final first team appearance

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2019-20 West Coast Conference Men’s Golf All-Academic Team. This year’s group features no fewer than seven returning first team selections.

For the third straight year, Pacific’s Beau Forest (Computer Science) posted the highest GPA turned in by a men’s golf student-athlete capping his collegiate career with an unblemished 4.0 GPA. In addition, 22 of the 38 nominated student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.50 or better.

Three student-athletes are making their third and final appearance on the all-academic first team: Pacific’s Forest, Saint Mary’s Blake Hathcoat and San Francisco’s Tim Widing.

Pacific’s Austin Fox, San Francisco’s Soren Lind, Pepperdine’s RJ Manke and Santa Clara’s Matt McCarty each earned their second straight academic first team selection.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
