WCC Announces 2019-20 Women’s Golf All-Academic Team

Four Student-Athletes make their second first team appearance

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2019-20 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf All-Academic Team. This year’s group features six newcomers to the 10-member first team.

For the second straight year, Santa Clara’s Marni Murez (Neuroscience) posted the highest GPA turned in by a women’s golf student-athlete capping her collegiate career with an unblemished 4.0 GPA. Seven honorees posted a GPA of 3.50 or better.

San Francisco’s Samantha Gong and Pearl Rojanapeansatith along with Santa Clara’s Sarah Busey and Murez each earned their second straight academic first team selection.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
