SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2020 West Coast Conference Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team. This year’s group features no fewer than seven returning first team selections.
Two sophomores – San Francisco’s
Nitzan Ricklis (Chemistry) and Pepperdine’s
Tim Zeitvogel (Mathematics) – posted an unblemished 4.0 GPA. In addition, 23 of the 45 nominated student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.50 or better while 13 achieved a 3.75 GPA or above.
Three student-athletes are making their third and final appearance on the all-academic first team: Gonzaga’s
Kyle Everly and San Diego’s
Gui Osorio.
Pacific’s
Akram El Sallaly and
Nathan Hampton, Portland’s
Tom Hann, Gonzaga’s
Simon Homedes Dualde and LMU’s
Ethan Prost each earned their second straight academic first team selection.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
