Pepperdine Tabbed One In WCC Women’s Tennis Preseason Poll

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Pepperdine has been selected as the favorite to win the 2022 West Coast Conference Women’s tennis regular-season title, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. 

 

The preseason poll and All-WCC Preseason team were selected solely by a vote of the conference's 10 head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own teams and student-athletes.

 

Within the  Oracle/ITA Division I Women’s rankings, Pepperdine is currently ranked No. 3 with its 30-1 record and a 92.264 average. Pepperdine received nine first-place votes and 81 total points. The Waves were followed by San Diego receiving 73 points with one first-place vote. Loyola Marymount, Brigham Young, and Saint Mary’s rounded out the top half of the poll, garnering 65, 73, and 65 points, respectively.

 

The WCC Women’s Tennis Championships will take place on Saturday, April 30.
