Waves Headed To 2026 NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament

Pepperdine will host the first two rounds

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Pepperdine heard its name called to the 2026 NCAA Women’s Tennis Tournament as announced on Monday. The Waves will host the first two rounds as the No. 11 seed. The Waves will face UC Santa Barbara in the first round. The winner will play the winner of BYU and Stanford.

At last weekend’s West Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Tournament, No. 1 seed Pepperdine captured the Conference title over No. 2 seed San Diego, 4-1, marking the 12th consecutive West Coast Conference Tournament title for the Waves. The Waves are 18-4 overall this season and finished a perfect 7-0 in conference matches. Pepperdine has played UC Santa Barbara a lot in its history, currently 35-8 against the Gauchos all-time. The Waves are 22-4 against UCSB on the home courts and 1-0 against UCSB all-time in the NCAA Tournament, a 6-0 win in 1996.

The Waves will be making their 38th consecutive NCAA Championship appearance and the 42nd in program history.

The first two rounds will take place on May 2 and 3. The winner of each site advances to super-regional competition May 8 or 9. Each super-regional site will feature two teams playing a single-elimination format. The super-regional winners advance to Athens, Ga. where the eight teams will compete for the national championship from May 16-17.
