Strong Tabbed WCC Volleyball Player Of The Week For Second Time

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the second straight weekm Kjersti Strong from Saint Mary's captured University Credit Union West Coast Conference Volleyball player of the week accolades, winning WCC Defensive Player of the Week after earning offensive player of the week honors last week. In addition, Biamba Kabengele from Pacific won University Credit Union WCC Offensive Player of the Week. 
 
UNIVERSITY CREDIT UNION WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BIAMBA KABENGELE, SR., OH – PACIFIC
Kabengele led Pacific to a 3-1 weekend with all three wins coming at the Eastern Washington Tournament, and she also picked up tournament MVP honors. During the tournament, she recorded a .236 hitting percentage and 33 kills in nine sets of action.

UNIVERSITY CREDIT UNION WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KJERSTI STRONG, SR., MB – SAINT MARY'S
Strong collected 17 blocks in the Gaels' two wins over the weekend. She has now secured a team-high 30 blocks on the season and is averaging 1.67 blocks per set. She also added 25 kills on the weekend, including a career high of 16 against Portland State. This is is Strong's second straight conference weekly award.
