SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – LMU won two of the West Coast Conference Volleyball player of the week awards this week. The Credit Union 1 WCC Offensive Player of the Week went to Kalani Hayes of the Lions and the Credit Union 1 Defensive Player of the Week honor went to Jiana Lawson. San Diego's Kylie Munday won Credit Union 1 WCC Freshman of the Week. 

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KALANI HAYES, SR., MB – LMU
Kalani Hayes tallied 21 kills with a .541 hitting percentage and only one error last week. She accumulated 26.5 points, averaging 3.3 points per set. In the victory over Oregon State, Hayes led the Lions with 16 kills, averaging 3.20 per set, and posted one error. Her hitting percentage for the match was .625. Hayes also contributed 18 points in the game, averaging 3.6 per set, showcasing her reliability and offensive impact. This is the first Conference weekly award for Hayes and the third time LMU has won Credit Union 1 Offensive Player of the Week.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JIANA LAWSON, SR., MB – LMU
Jiana Lawson recorded 15 blocks and 24 points last week. Against Portland, she anchored the Lions' defense with seven blocks, averaging 2.33 blocks per set, and contributed 10 points. In the comeback against Oregon State, Lawson led all players with eight blocks and 14 points, playing a pivotal role in the Lions' victory. This is Lawson's first Conference weekly award and the fourth time LMU has won Credit Union 1 Defensive Player of the Week.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – KYLIE MUNDAY, FR., S – SAN DIEGO
First-year setter Kylie Munday tallied 55 assists (9.17 per set), 15 digs, six kills and three service aces as USD beat Pacific and Saint Mary's on the road. She started her week with 28 assists, seven digs, a service ace and a kill on Thursday night as the Toreros prevailed in straight sets against the Tigers. Munday later helped her team sweep the Gaels on Saturday, amassing another 27 assists, five kills, two service aces and a block assist. This is Munday's first Conference weekly award and the fourth time USD has won Credit Union 1 Freshman of the Week.
