Pepperdine Picked To Win 2025 WCC Men's Golf Title

The Waves received eight first-place votes

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Pepperdine was picked to win the 2025 West Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship as the Waves sit at the top of the preseason leaderboard in the league's ten-team preseason poll, the Conference announced on Tuesday.

The preseason poll and All-WCC team were selected solely by a vote of the Conference's ten head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own team or student-athletes.

The Waves collected eight first-place votes for 80 points. Pacific checked in at second with 72 points, and the remaining two first-place votes, while San Diego placed third with 59 points. LMU was voted fourth with 56 points while Oregon State landed fifth with 49 points.

Mahanth Chirravuri of Pepperdine returns to the WCC preseason team for the second consecutive season, the only student-athlete to do so.

Other Waves making the WCC Preseason Team include Luke Bailey and William Walsh. Pepperdine had the most student-athletes recognized with three making the preseason team.

Two other schools had multiple student-athletes named to the WCC Preseason Team. Pacific and LMU both had a pair make the team, with Carlos Astiazaran and Travis Robbie making it for the Tigers while Cade Anderson and Mason Synder made it for the Lions.
