SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Six-time defending West Coast Conference Champion Pepperdine was voted to repeat again in 2025, taking five out of six possible first-place votes in the WCC preseason poll.
The preseason poll and All-WCC team were selected solely by a vote of the Conference's six head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own team or student-athletes.
Pepperdine secured 25 points receiving a first-place vote from all the other coaches in the league. Oregon State and San Francisco weren't far behind, with the Beavers taking 20 points and the last first-place vote while the Dons sat at 18 points. Santa Clara, Washington State and Gonzaga rounded out the poll.
Pepperdine has won 21 of 27 WCC Championships, advanced to the East Lansing regional at the NCAA Championships last year. The Waves finished their 2023 fall season with a pair of wins and a third-place finish. Pepperdine ranks 48th in the country ahead of the 2025 spring season.
Riana Mission of San Francisco returns to the WCC preseason team for the second consecutive season. She earned WCC all-conference honors last spring.
Teammates Lauren Gomez and Jeneath Wong from Pepperdine, along with Raya Nakao and Kyra Ly from Oregon State, made the All-WCC Preseason team. Grace Lee of Gonzaga made the preseason team for the third straight year.
