SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Hanging on for a big win at Utah last Saturday led Saint Mary's to sweep this week's Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week. Paulius Murauskas claimed Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, while Andrew McKeever won Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. 

This is the third time this season that a WCC team has swept the weekly awards, and the second time that the Gaels have achieved this (Nov. 18). 
 
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – PAULIUS MURAUSKAS, SO., F – SAINT MARY'S
Paulius Murauskas earned his fifth double-double as a Gael in the win over UTSA with 12 points and 12 rebounds. He followed that up at Utah by notching 29 points and seven rebounds, leading SMC to its third victory over a power-four school during non-conference play (Nebraska, USC, Utah). Murauskas buried 6 of 10 from three-point distance, including three in the final six possessions of the game to clinch it for the Gaels. This is the second time this season Saint Mary's has won Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Mikey Lewis, Nov. 18).

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ANDREW MCKEEVER, FR., C – SAINT MARY'S
When Saint Mary's got into foul trouble against Utah, the Gaels went to Andrew McKeever off the bench for his first action in the first half this season. McKeever was true on his lone shot attempt, along with snagging four rebounds and one blocked shot. The Gaels went back to McKeever in the second half and he connected on two more field goals and four more rebounds, leading to his team high of eight for the night. McKeever owns two of SMC's three Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week awards this season (Nov. 25).
