SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – LMU claimed two of the West Coast Conference Volleyball player of the week awards this week. The Credit Union 1 WCC Offensive Player of the Week went to Paige Flickinger of the Lions for the second straight week and the Credit Union 1 Defensive Player of the Week honor went to Sam Hastings, also for the second time this season. Washington State's Breccan Scheck won Credit Union 1 WCC Freshman of the Week.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – PAIGE FLICKINGER, SR., OH – LMU
Paige Flickinger collected 31 kills with an average of 3.88 per set and 35 points, averaging 4.4 points per set. In the victory over Pacific, she recorded a team-best 14 kills and contributed 16.5 points, averaging 4.1 points per set. In the road win against Saint Mary's, Flickinger notched another double-digit kill performance with a game-high 17 kills, earing 18.5 points in the process. This is the second time Flickinger has won this award.

Sam Hastings amassed 36 digs and 29 service receptions (.966 reception percentage). In the conference home opener against Pacific, she finished with a game-high 19 digs, averaging 4.75 per set. She followed that up at Saint Mary's with a game-high 17 digs with zero errors. This is LMU's fourth Conference weekly award this season.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – BRECCAN SCHECK, FR., MB – WASHINGTON STATE
Breccan Scheck helped the Cougars go 2-0 to start WCC play this weekend, boasting a .576 attack percentage, good for second-highest in the WCC. She totaled 22 kills, including a career-high 12 kills and a .625 percentage against San Diego, which was the highest single-match performance in the league last weekend. She also added six total blocks to finish the weekend with 25.5 points, 14.5 coming against the Toreros. Scheck averaged 3.19 points per set, and 2.75 kills per set while also adding 0.75 blocks per set. This is Scheck's first WCC weekly award this season and the second of the year for the Cougars.
