SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Both Julia Quinonez of Pepperdine and Kate Plachy from Saint Mary's repeated as West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week with Quinonez claiming offensive accolades and Plachy taking defensive honors.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JULIA QUINONEZ, JR., F – PEPPERDINE
Julia Quinonez scored a brace in back-to-back games, the first Wave to do so since 1996, during the Waves' 9-0 win over Pacific. She leads the league in goals and Pepperdine stands alone in first place in the West Coast Conference standings with nine points (3-0). Quinonez owns both of Pepperdine's conference weekly awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KATE PLACHY, SO., GK – SAINT MARY'S
Kate Plachy recorded her seventh shutout on Saturday in a 1-0 victory over LMU. She now ranks tied for fifth in shutouts among the Division I rankings this season. The Gaels are now 2-0-1 and improved their unbeaten streak to eight games for the first time since 2001. The Gaels are tied for second with seven points and have only allowed one goal since the third game of the season. Saint Mary's now owns four conference weekly awards this season, three by Plachy.
