SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Still undefeated in conference play, San Diego remains all alone in first place in the West Coast Conference Volleyball standings at 9-0 in league play and an overall record of 16-4. Both Oregon State and Pepperdine are two games behind the Toreros at 7-2 in league play.
The Waves and LMU will be on national television this week on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.

This Week
In addition to the TV matchup on Thursday night, Portland hosts Oregon State at 6 p.m. as the Beavers look to maintain within striking distance of San Diego. The Toreros host San Francisco and Washington State hosts Pacific.
After the ESPNU match with Pepperdine, it doesn't get any easier for the Lions when LMU hosts San Diego. The Waves welcome the Dons to Malibu on Saturday. Surging Saint Mary's treks up to Seattle U, while Gonzaga hosts Pacific in another Pacific Northwest contest. Santa Clara hosts Portland back in the Bay Area.
On Sunday, the league's two affiliates square off when Oregon State hosts Washington State.
Last Week
Saint Mary's continues to be on a roll, currently enjoying a five-game winning streak. The Gaels currently boast a winning record in league play at 5-4. The Gaels picked up two five-set victories last week over Seattle U and Portland. Also enjoying a five-game winning streak is Pepperdine after the Waves knocked off Oregon State, 3-2 and then beat Pacific on the road, 3-1.
USD only competed once last week, topping Washington State at home, 3-2.
Santa Clara won both of its matches last week, defeating Gonzaga 3-2 and Seattle U by the same score.
Stat Leaders
Pepperdine's Laine Briggs ranks No. 19 in the nation in aces per set.
Individually, WSU's Lucie Blazkova cracked the top 10 in hitting percentage at No. 9 (.435) and USD's Nemo Beach ranks No. 23 in points (384.5). Beach's 345 kills currently pace the West Coast Conference, as well.
Beach's teammate Kylie Munday leads the league with an assists average over 10.0 per set (10.04).
