Oregon State Wins Two West Coast Conference Volleyball Weekly Honors

Santa Clara's Macy Hinshaw repeats as Setter of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the second straight week, Santa Clara's Macy Hinshaw won West Coast Conference Setter of the Week while Oregon State captured two West Coast Conference Volleyball weekly accolades with Lauren Rumel winning Offensive Player of the Week and Alana Marrs winning Freshman of the Week. San Diego took the fourth award with Maya Kitna winning West Coast Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.  
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LAUREN RUMEL, SR., OH – OREGON STATE
Lauren Rumel notched 43 total kills and four aces to highlight an undefeated weekend for the Beavers at the ASICS Invitational. In a sweep of Montana State, Rumel posted 19 kills with just three errors on 35 swings for a .457 hitting percentage. She ended the weekend with only 10 errors on 108 attempts, good for a .306 cumulative hitting rate. This is Rumel's first conference weekly recognition this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MAYA KITNA, SR., MB – SAN DIEGO
Maya Kitna collected 12 blocks (four solo) and 10 digs last weekend, helping the Toreros go undefeated in two matches at the 2025 Husky Invitational. Kitna registered six blocks (one solo) and five digs on Saturday in a 3-2 win over Arizona. She added another six blocks (three solo) and another five digs on Sunday in a five-set win over tournament host Washington. San Diego now owns four conference weekly awards this season, including winning defensive player of the week twice in three weeks.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ALANA MARRS, FR., MB – OREGON STATE
Alana Marrs tallied 26 kills in three victories at the ASICS Invitational, helping Oregon State secure a five-match winning streak. Marrs notched 26 kills with a combined .467 clip. Defensively, she totaled 12 blocks (two solo) and three digs. The Beavers now own two conference weekly awards this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE SETTER OF THE WEEK – MACY HINSHAW, SO., S – SANTA CLARA
Macy Hinshaw helped Santa Clara pick up victories over Cal State Bakersfield and Fresno State last weekend. She recorded 98 assists, averaging 9.8 assists per set, while also adding 21 digs at 2.1 digs per set. She notched a career-high five kills against Fresno State and posted 10 kills over three games, averaging one kill per set. Hinshaw owns both of the Broncos two conference weekly awards this season.
