SAN BRUNO, Calif. – LMU claimed two of three West Coast Conference women's tennis player of the week awards with Kim-Michaela Zahraj winning West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and Helene Schnack winning West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week. Washington State won West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week with Eva Alvarez Sande and Yura Nakagawa garnering the award. These are the first conference weekly awards for both schools.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KIM-MICHAELA ZAHRAJ, GR. – LMU
Kim-Michaela Zahraj was dominant during LMU’s 4-3 road victory at Long Beach State. Competing on court six, Zahraj garnered a decisive 6-0, 6-2 victory, which proved to be critical in the Lions picking up the team victory.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – EVA ALVAREZ SANDE, SR., YURA NAKAGAWA, JR., WASHINGTON STATE
Against Sacramento State, the Cougar tandem finished first with a 6-2 win over Catherine Walker and Palina Saulevich from Sac State, helping WSU earn the doubles point. Against UC Davis, they posted a 6-4 win over Isabella Bringas and Maya Youssef on the second court as the Cougars again secured the doubles point. They are now 4-0 as a pair this season.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – HELENE SCHNACK, FR. – LMU
During LMU’s 4-3 victory at Long Beach State, Helene Schnack won in straight sets competing at No. 4 singles. She won 6-3, 6-2, swinging the momentum firmly toward LMU. The Lions held on for the narrow win thanks to her efforts.
