SAN BRUNO, Calif. - For the third time in program history, Saint Mary's has reached the 30-win mark as the Gaels are 30-12 overall and currently in first place in the West Coast Conference Softball standings at 5-1 (.833) in conference play. Santa Clara is not far behind the Gaels in second place at 7-2 (.778) in league play as action continues this weekend.

This Week
San Diego looks to get back in the win column starting Wednesday night when the Toreros host UC San Diego before hosting Hawaii the following night.
USD is idle this week in conference action. The three conference series feature the first-place Gaels taking on reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Week Jaeya Butler and Oregon State in Moraga. The Beavers are currently in fourth place in the conference standings at 5-4.
Santa Clara looks to keep pace with Saint Mary's when the Broncos head to Stockton to face Pacific.

Last week's action started with LMU shutting out CSUN, 6-0, at home last Wednesday.
In conference action, Santa Clara swept San Diego at home, starting with a 9-1 5-inning victory last Friday.
Oregon State took two out of three over Pacific. The Beavers won both games in Friday's doubleheader before the Tigers avoided the sweep on Saturday.
Saint Mary's won two close games at Seattle U before the Redhawks' bats awoke for an 8-0 six-inning win in the series finale.

Hannah Ferguson from Saint Mary's remains tied for first in the nation in triples with seven.
Oregon State's Jaeya Butler ranks in the top 10 in two categories - tied for sixth in both total bases (129) and home runs (19). Butler also leads the West Coast Conference in RBI (49).
In stolen bases, Santa Clara's Cairah Curran ranks tied for 10th with 27 and LMU's Avery Francis is tied for 18th with 24.
On the pitching side, Odhi Vasquez of Saint Mary's ranks tied for 15th in the nation with 16 wins and she also leads the league in strikeouts (103) and saves (4).
