Women’s Golf Championship Preview

Eight-team championship to take place at Green Valley Country Club April 25-27

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – The 2026 West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championship will take place at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. from Saturday, April 25 through Monday, April 27.
 
Eight teams will compete in the 54-hole conference championship on the par-72, 6,174-yard course at Green Valley Country Club, which is serving as the host course for the second consecutive year. Seattle U, which is in its first season as a full competing member of the conference, and Augusta, which is in its first year as an affiliate member, are the latest additions to the eight-team championship.
 
The three-round championship will feature individuals teeing off beginning at 7:30 a.m. each day. The entire eight-team field ranks in the top 140 of the SCOREBOARD rankings, highlighted by two in the top 50. Pepperdine is No. 10 overall and Oregon State is No. 48. Santa Clara is No. 80, Augusta is No. 106, Washington State is No. 108, Seattle U is No. 126, San Francisco is No. 127 and Gonzaga is No. 131.
 
The Waves have three individuals in the top 50 of the SCOREBOARD rankings, including freshman Kylee Choi (19), sophomore Eunseo Choi (33) and senior Jeneath Wong (50). Eunseo Choi, who was voted the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year last season, was named the Conference’s Golfer of the Month for March after capturing the Fresno State Classic last month.  
 
Pepperdine has won or tied for the team title at the West Coast Conference Championship five times in the last seven events, including three straight from 2002-04. The Waves have won the conference team championship 21 times in program history.
 
Oregon State is the defending West Coast Conference champion after capturing the 2025 title with a 5-over 869 (286-290-293) at the Green Valley Country Club course. OSU earned the team title by two strokes over Pepperdine. Oregon State’s Raya Nakao was the West Coast Conference medalist, after defeating San Francisco’s Eva Pett in a playoff. Nakao and Pett finished with a 4-under 212 in the championship with Nakao winning on the second playoff hole last year. Nakao tied the course record with a first-round 6-under 66 last year.   

The winner of the West Coast Conference Women’s Golf Championship will receive an automatic qualification to the NCAA Regionals. The conference has earned multiple NCAA selections twice in the last four years. Last season, Oregon State (AQ) and Pepperdine (at-large) represented the conference in the NCAA Regionals.
