SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Following a strong first weekend to start the 2026 season, four West Coast Conference volleyball teams claimed one of the first conference weekly awards of the season. Maria Tabacuks from LMU won Offensive Player of the Week, while Bella Gutierrez from Pacific was named Defensive Player of the Week. Kylie Munday from San Diego claimed Setter of the Week and Portland's Kalaweloilehua Chock from Portland won Freshman of the Week.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MARIA TABACUKS, SO., OH – LMU
Maria Tabacuks led LMU to three wins last weekend, totaling 52 kills at 5.20 kills per set while hitting .352 across 10 sets. She hit double figures in all three victories, including 21 kills on 38 attempts without a single attack error for a .553 hitting percentage during the sweep of Southeastern Louisiana. Tabacuks followed that performance with 19 kills and 11 digs in LMU's four-set win over Ole Miss. She also contributed 25 digs, six blocks and three aces across the weekend while totaling 58.5 points, an average of 5.85 points per set.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BELLA GUTIERREZ, SO., LB – PACIFIC
Bella Gutierrez helped the Tigers go 2-1 last weekend with wins over Gonzaga and Southern Utah. Gutierrez compiled 57 digs in three matches, averaging 4.75 per set. She posted 27 in the win over the Bulldogs.

Kalaweloilehua Chock posted 30 kills last weekend, including 17 against Portland State, the most by any Pilot freshman in a single match since 2022. She added 19 total digs, one service ace and three blocks. Chock holds a hitting percentage of .270 and stands at 52 percent in system pass percentage.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE SETTER OF THE WEEK – KYLIE MUNDAY, JR., S – SAN DIEGO
Kylie Munday racked up 115 assists (11.50 A/S), 33 digs (3.30 D/S), six blocks and three service aces last weekend, helping San Diego garner a pair of wins at the 2026 Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic. She recorded a double-double with 39 assists, 12 digs, three block assists and a service ace against No. 21 Baylor. Munday added 42 more assists, 19 more digs, a block assist and a service ace in another double-double in the win over Georgia Southern. She chipped in 34 assists, two digs, two blocks and a service ace in the victory over tournament host Hawaii.
