SAN BRUNO, Calif. – With two road sweeps last week, Santa Clara won two West Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week awards. Morgan Hayes won Offensive Player of the Week while Macy Hinshaw earned Setter of the Week honors. Denver's Madison Winkler won Defensive Player of the Week and San Francisco's Adelynn Legates won Freshman of the Week. These are the first conference weekly awards for all three programs.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MORGAN HAYES, JR., RS – SANTA CLARA
Morgan Hayes totaled 63 kills with a 4.85 k/s average while hitting .333 in helping Santa Clara earn wins at Cincinnati and Manhattan. She posted double-digit kills in all four matches last week, including 21 at Yale. Hayes went on a 40-attack errorless streak across matches versus Manhattan and Hofstra on Friday and Saturday. She recorded 16 kills in 24 attempts (.667 hit percentage) against Manhattan. Hayes also collected two service aces in the Broncos' 3-0 sweep at Cincinnati last Tuesday.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MADISON WINKLER, SO., DS – DENVER
Madison Winkler led Denver defensively with 59 digs across three matches, including a weekend-high 29 digs against Marist, just missing her career-high 32 digs set last weekend.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ADELYNN LEGATES, FR., OH – SAN FRANCISCO
Winning three of four matches last week, Adelynn Legates amassed 49 assists, 18 digs, 4.90 assists per set and three service aces. In the sweep over Cal State Bakersfield in the home opener last Tuesday, Legates recorded her first double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs. She also registered double-digit assists in the final two matches of the week, highlighted by 15 in a straight-sets win at Grand Canyon on Saturday.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE SETTER OF THE WEEK – MACY HINSHAW, JR., S – SANTA CLARA
Macy Hinshaw averaged 11.15 assists per set in four road matches last week while also playing stout defense. The junior secured at least 26 assists in each match. She tied a career and season high with 54 assists for the second time in 2026 at Yale last Saturday. Hinshaw also notched multiple blocks in all four matches, including tying a career high with four at Cincinnati last Tuesday. She totaled 10 blocks for the week (0.77 b/s) and added 31 digs (2.38 per set), two kills and two service aces.
