SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Keeping its shutout streak alive, Saint Mary's swept this week's West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week. Brianna Jurasek earned Offensive Player of the Week while Anna Emperador garnered Defensive Player of the Week.
The Gaels have won the last three consecutive conference defensive player of the week awards, a different student-athlete each week.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BRIANNA JURASEK, FR., F – SAINT MARY'S
True freshman Brianna Jurasek scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to defeat Northern Arizona, 1-0. Jurasek's efforts helped the Gaels remain unbeaten with a 4-0-3 record. This is the first conference offensive player of the week award for the Gaels.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ANNA EMPERADOR, SR., D – SAINT MARY'S
Anna Emperador started and played all 180 minutes for the Gaels last week in a scoreless draw with Columbia on Thursday and then a 1-0 victory over Northern Arizona on Sunday. Emperador helped extend the Gaels' shutout streak to a program-record seven matches. Saint Mary's is one of just three teams in Divison I to have not allowed a goal this season.
